Network science is emerging as a new scientific discipline that studies network behaviors and discovers common principles for network operation. Network science has gained increasing research interests partially due to the ubiquity of information networks. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together researchers in the field to share their perspectives on problems, tools, and/or results that they find important. We also intend to provide the attendees a forum for discussion, and to facilitate cooperation.

The technical program consists of invited talks by world-leading experts in the field, as well as a poster session. We welcome submissions of posters on research in any aspect of network science -- we especially encourage student participants to present their results. The posters will be presented in a dedicated session and will remain on display at the workshop venue for the whole duration of the workshop. Attending the workshop is free of charge, but prior registration is required.

The Network Science Workshop is organized by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences(IIIS) at Tsinghua University, the Institute of Theoretical Computer Science and Communications(ITCSC) and the Institute of Network Coding (INC) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
